Justin Shonga Dies

Chipolopolo Zambia striker Justin Shonga has died.

Shonga,27 died on Sunday in Lusaka.

Both his ex Zambian club Nkwazi and the Football Association of Zambia confirmed his passing.

" Former Zambia National Team midfielder Justin Shonga has died," FAZ said in a statement.

" Zambia Police Deputy Spokesperson Dan Mwale has confirmed in an interview with the FAZ Media Team.

"Mwale said Shonga died at Sikanze Police Hospital after a short illness."

Shonga exploded on the scene in 2017 as part of ex Chipolopolo coach Wedson Nyirenda's team when he scored three goals that inspired the team to the 2018 CHAN in Morocco.

However,Shonga was later ineligible for the tournament after moving to South African club Orlando Pirates.
